After Wild Cherry’s run, Iris moved on to form Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, who are famous for their single Ah! Leah! and toured with artists such as Journey, Bryan Adams, Foreigner and Bon Jovi. He then helped form the band Wild Cherry, who wrote and recorded the hit Play That Funky Music, White Boy. Iris skyrocketed in the music business as part of The Jaggerz.
